unite as one Final no bleedAs part of the celebrations leading up to Human Rights Day, the Scalabrini Centre has teamed up with our neighbours at the Book Lounge to present to you an evening of short films screenings in celebration of human rights.

The evening will be hosted in conjunction with Unite As One, our youth outreach programme which is focused on recognising and protecting the human rights of all people living in South Africa, no matter their language or country of origin.

It forms part of the Book Lounge’s “Down In The Basement” series of monthly events held at the book store. The films to be screened are all 6-20 minutes long shorts by South African filmmakers and include those by Sydelle Willow Smith, Terry Westby-Nunn, Unite as One, Khanyisile Maimela, and Palesa Shongwe amongst others.

Tickets cost R35 each and can be purchased at the Book Lounge from 11 March. There are only 50 tickets available for the event, so don’t delay! See you there!
